Morocco’s Sofiane Boufal invited his mother onto the pitch to celebrate with her after their shocking World Cup victory over Portugal.
The Angers winger played his part as Morocco made history by becoming the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
There were jubilant on-pitch celebrations after the final whistle for Morocco, in comparison to a distraught Portugal – with Cristiano Ronaldo leaving the pitch in tears.

The BBC has posted footage of Boufal celebrating with his mother on the field.
They are seen waving their arms in celebration before he grabbed her hands and started dancing with her to the music being played out in the stadium.
The pair had big smiles on their faces, enjoying the historic moment, with Morocco now just one step away from the World Cup final.
Youssef En-Nesyri scored the only goal of the game as he headed home when Portugal keeper Diogo Costa ran off his line to punch the ball – only to get nowhere near it.
Boufal was replaced after 82 minutes in the match and was delighted after the game
Portugal started the game without Ronaldo, though he came on in the 51st minute to try and turn the game back in their favour.
Ronaldo made little impact as he had just ten touches and one shot, and left the field in tears.
After the match, Portugal boss Fernando Santos said he had no regrets starting Ronaldo on the bench.
Portugal pair Bruno Fernandes and Pepe accused the Argentine referee Facundo Telles of bias towards their opponents, but it was a memorable night for Boufal and Morocco.
Morocco will face now the play the winners of England’s clash with France in the semi-finals.
