Former prime minister Raila Odinga's daughter Winnie has painfully recounted the day her father almost died in March 2021 when he contracted COVID-19.
The ODM boss contracted the deadly contagious virus in March last year, and though the country was assured that he was doing well, Winnie revealed her father was seriously fighting the disease.
Speaking to the Daily Nation, the 31-year-old said in two separate instances, she found her dad on the brink of death while in isolation.

She quickly fixed it back and helped him breathe again.
In the second instance, Winnie entered the room and found her dad's temperature was through the roof, and she had to give him some paracetamol quickly.

She said her father and the entire Odinga family have been handling his loss very well and were already bouncing back.
On claims made that Uhuru played Raila, Winnie said she was also yet to understand how Uhuru lost the influence of the system.
After her father lost in the August elections and in the subsequent Supreme Court case, Winnie took a Twitter break after going on an online rant.
However, a week ago, she made a comeback and said there was a different system between an election campaign and an election day.
