October 26 is observed as Omani Youth Day to celebrate the laurels of the many youth of the country who have won regional and international recognition. Omani youth have showcased their distinguished capabilities in sports, science, culture and many other fields. Muscat Daily spoke with a few prominent youth on the occasion of Omani Youth Day.

Omani youth today have been able to prove their success in all fields by registering achievements at local and international levels. Today’s youth need to be empowered and supported by the right environment for research, development and experimentation to achieve their goals.
They also need to develop their skills and knowledge in professional courses and workshops in the areas of interest to them. I believe that the field of innovation needs support so that innovators can test their innovations and projects, besides the provision of appropriate devices and tools to achieve their goals.
Omani Youth Day is an incentive for us young people. Dedicating this day to us and to celebrate us shows the importance of young people as we are a pillar and the strength for our dear country. We, as young people, will continue to work hard and achieve more successes and achievements to raise the name of Oman globally.

Omani youth spare no effort in contributing to building their nation. In all walks of life, they have fulfilled their responsibility to take part along with the government in the decision-making process and build the sultanate. What we need as youth is a mind ready to transform, to be more responsible in creating a positive change and act with integrity.
I am happy that I belong to a country like Oman. It is unique in every way, and that is why I and other young people love this country. Omani youth can achieve more and need more support to build the nation.

The Omani youth has made his mark in all fields, but we undoubtedly need someone to support our activities and ambitions to build the country.
We are proud of this day, which was created by a Royal Decree issued by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said in order to motivate and encourage Omani youth to continue to achieve his goals and raise the flag of Oman globally. We, the young people, must always be ready to work creatively to achieve Oman Vision 2040.
